I James Ramsey of the county of Hopkins and state of Kentucky do make mylast will and testament in manner and form following: 1st I give andbequeath to my four daughters Jane Patterson Peggy Bland Eliza ClayParthula Crowley and my son John Ramsey all the balance of the tract ofland whereon I live which I have not heretofore disposed of to be soldtwelve months after my death on a credit of twelve months at public salethe purchaser to be required to give bond with approved security for thepayment of the purchase money and as soon as the money can be collectedto be equally divided between my said four daughters and son abovementioned. I also give to my daughter Parthula Crowley one n.... I giveand bequeath to my son Alexander Ramsey my two tables one a cherry tableand the other a black walnut table also my cupboard and loom. I give andbequeath to my son James K. I James K. Ramsey of the County of Hopkins and State of Kentucky, knowingthe uncertainty of all human affairs do make this my last Will andTestament in manner and form as follows viz:
1st I want all my just debt to be paid.
2nd I devise that my son James A. Ramsey shall have 71 acres of land(this article is settled) out of the north end of the 100 acres boughtfrom Taylor.
3rd I desire that my son George W. Ramsey shall have 43 1/2 acres that Ibought of J. Stanley and owned by W. D. Crow(?) dec'd by ???? 29 acresoff of the south end of ??? acres I bought of Taylor.
4th I desire that my son D. F. Ramsey shall have 75 acres of land out ofthe north end of my home.
5th I desire that my son Leland Ramsey shall have the ballance of my hometract which is about 75 acres.
6th I desire that my two grand children son's of John Ramsey deceasedshall have 50 acres out of the north east corner of my home tract which Ihave heretofore given to my son John Ramsey their father.
I have now divided my land equally according to quantity as I think butDavid F. Ramsey lot of land has no timber and I wish James and George tofurnish David with wood and timber he (David) shall take the timber wherethey wish. And as my servants are all free I have estimated all my landat 4000 dollars that my daughters may be made equal with my sons.
